Federal Forms

Extensions for Corporations, Partnerships, REMICs, and Certain Trusts

Many small businesses are LLC, S-Corps, or C-Corps. This form will allow you an additional 6 months to file your business income tax return.

Application for Automatic Extension of Time To File U.S. Individual Income Tax Return

If you are not able to file your federal individual income tax return by the due date, you may be able to get an automatic 6-month extension of time to file.

NC Forms

Application for Extension of Franchise and Corporate Income Tax

The CD-419 is used to extend the time for filing a C-Corporation or S-Corporation tax return. This application for extension extends the time to file the tax return by 6 months but does not extend the time to pay the tax due. All the tax is due by the 15th day of the fourth month after your year-end.

Application for Extension for Filing Individual Income Tax Return

If you cannot file your individual income tax return by the due date, you may apply for an automatic 6-month extension of time to file the return. To receive the extension, you must file Form D-410, Application for Extension for Filing Individual Income Tax Return, by the original due date of the return. An extension of time to file the return does not extend the time for paying the tax.

NC Corporation Annual Report Filing

Each year every North Carolina corporation must file an Annual Report with the NC Secretary of State and pay the annual filing fee. This can be done online at the NC Secretary of State web site. Click the link to the left to file your annual report and pay the fee.  The annual report is due by the due date for filing the corporation's income and franchise tax returns.  An extension of time to file a return is an extension of time to file an annual report
